Jean Allouch - Where There is Symptom and Sinthome
The distinction between the symptom and the sinthome would not have been possible if Lacan did not discreetly isolate two different analytics of sex, one centered on the objet a, the other on the non-existence of sexual rapport. We will show that the first receives the symptom, the second the sinthome. In other words, these two terms refer to two different entities.
