Lacan’s Pursuit of the Truth

This article focuses on L’étourdit - Lacan’s ‘last great écrit’ as it has been described by Cormac Gallagher - where Lacan addressed the role of the cartels in the formation of analysts. This formation had been a pre-occupation of his over many years. His aim was that ‘essential of psychoanalytic praxis’- ‘namely, the training of psycho-analysts.’ L’étourdit and Christian Fierens’ extensive commentary thereon has been the work of our cartel group for the three years prior to the writing of this paper.
